The Bridge is a dynamic group of people who gather each week in Gilbert, Arizona. Our mission is to get to know Jesus as He really is, and discover what difference He will make in our lives, our communities, and our world.
That all sounds great in theory, but what does that look like in day-to-day life? At the Bridge, we use the words “Reach up, Reach in, Reach out” to describe the questions we ask and the steps we take to live out our mission.

reach up
Reaching up is focusing on God. How is your relationship with God? Are you enjoying Him? Are you spending time with Him? Do you read the Bible, which we believe is the Word of God. Do you talk to God in prayer? Do you get time alone with God? We believe that, just like other relationships, our relationship with God is something that we can develop over time through prayer, the Bible, and through learning from each other.
reach in
Reaching in involves three circles of relationship. The first is with yourself. How is your self-care? Are you being a good steward of yourself? The second is with your family. If you are married, how is your relationship with your spouse? If you have kids, how is your relationship with your children? Are you putting them before or after earthly pursuits and possessions? The third is with your church community. Are you connecting with people in your community? Are you participating and giving back to your church community?
reach out
Reaching out involves your life in the world, both locally and globally. How is work? How are you at work? What does it mean to be a follower of Christ at work? How should life be different? How is your neighborhood? Are you doing acts of social justice and goodness in your city or neighborhood? Are you sharing with others about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus in your city and your neighborhood? Globally, are you aware of the many communities, countries, and cultures outside our own? Are you paying attention to both the spiritual and material needs of people worldwide? Are you doing something about it?

what we believe
As a church, we are part of a larger family of churches known as the Evangelical Covenant Church. We are a family that allows for freedom with in the local congregation, while holding steadfastly to a core of beliefs that help unite us. Those core beliefs are:
1) The Bible is the Word of God.
2) Jesus came to give us new life.
3) The church is called to demonstrate God’s love and share His message of eternal life.
4) The church is made up of all people who trust in Christ for new life.
5) The Holy Spirit dwells and works in the life of all those who trust in Jesus for new life.
